First-Ever Western PA Trails and Greenways Summit in Clarion in 2024

The inaugural Western PA Trails and Greenways Summit builds on two different regional path summits; the Erie to Pittsburgh Path Alliance’s Summit and the Laurel Highlands Conservation Panorama Path Summit. By increasing the main focus of those two summits, we capitalize on the collaboration central to those two networks. The Western PA Trails and Greenways Summit offers path managers, land stewards, public officers, and different regional stakeholders who work to protect and preserve the regional recreation property an opportunity to discover approaches to shared challenges.

A planning committee, composed of representatives from the Three Rivers Heritage Path, the Oil Area Alliance, the Northwest PA Fee, the North Central Regional Planning Fee, the Pennsylvania Division of Conservation and Pure Assets (DCNR), the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, the Pennsylvania Environmental Council (PEC), and others, are busy designing an interesting program. Although the date has not formally been set, the planning committee has chosen Clarion as our host group. The Summit is being deliberate to coincide with the Path of the 12 months Celebration for the Trails at Jakes Rocks.
